Impoverished families in the Hais district of western Yemen have no support for their disabled family members. ADRA has been successfully working in this community since 1995, offering physiotherapy and health training. We will expand this program to include sign language training for children who, upon completion, will be enrolled in school. Training will be provided to local teachers to assist children in their classroom who have special needs. Physiotherapy equipment will be upgraded at the ADRA center. A business cooperative will be established, offering business training and small loans that will change the future of impoverished families.
