The civil war in Burundi ended in 2005, leaving many children orphaned. These children find it nearly impossible to finish their schooling because secondary school in Burundi costs money to attend. Once orphans finish elementary school, most are forced into a life of begging or working as servants for little or no pay. Too often, girls marry at 13 or become sex workers. You can change the future for an orphan or abandoned child by sending them to secondary school. Your support will pay for their school fees, uniforms, backpack, school supplies, and hygiene items.
