South Bay Junior Academy is a Seventh-day Adventist Christian school offering Grades Kindergarten through Ten.
Our students learn to read at a young age, and we expect this achievement to be the norm. We would like to provide an opportunity for three adults who have never been taught to read to have this gift so they can better function in their society.

Teach a Vulnerable Woman to Read in Liberia - #60
Too many rural women in Liberia live in extreme poverty and are unable to read. ADRA’s literacy training is in step with the government’s Poverty Reduction Strategy. Teaching single mothers, many of them teen girls, to read will open the doors to a better life for them. In addition, these women will be taught home gardening skills, providing a food source for themselves and their children.
